Tampa, FL (April 2013) — Bob Dikman was the sponsor chair for the 2nd annual Pro-Am Kart Race to benefit All Children’s Hospital in memory of Dan Wheldon.  The event, held at Andersen RacePark in Palmetto, FL, used Andersen’s Birel N 35-X (Rock Kart) with a pro driver on each team.  Tickets sold for $250 and the proceeds went to All Children’s Hospital. The event raised over $13,000.

“Dan Wheldon, the late 2-time Indy 500 champion, and his wife, Susie, were supporters of All Children’s Hospital,” said Dikman. “We’re glad to be able to support All Children’s while honoring the memory of Dan.”

On hand for the event were Patrick Long, Porsche Factory driver; Carlos de Queseda, Grand-Am Prototype and GT driver; Colin Braun, ALMS and Grand-Am driver; Tristan Vautier, IZOD IndyCar driver; Dr. Jim Norman, Grand-Am GX Class winner; Anders Krohn, Indy Lights and Grand-Am driver; Jan Heylen, Grand-Am and ALMS driver; Dion von Moltke, Grand-Am GT winner; John Dean, Playboy Mx-5 Cup Series Pro driver; and Glenn McGee, “Stars of Tomorrow” champion.
