Experience and Expertise count when working with a Commercial Real Estate Brokerage

Let me ask you a question. If you found out that you needed to have surgery performed, whom would you rather have perform that surgery: 1) The experienced surgeon who had performed this specific surgery numerous times over the past 20 years; 2) the brilliant young surgeon fresh out of the country’s leading medical school who had performed the surgery only a few times?

I know that if it were me lying on the operating table, I would opt for the experienced surgeon who had performed the surgery numerous times! And the reason isn’t necessarily what you might think. While both physicians are capable of performing the surgery, which one has the skill and knowledge to handle any unexpected issues that could occur during the procedure? If something were to go awry while I was ‘under the knife’ I would rather have the experience and expertise of the seasoned surgeon to make any life saving decisions on my behalf.

So, what does this have to do with hiring a professional commercial realtor from an established commercial real estate brokerage? Well, a lot more than you might think!

You want your commercial real estate agent to have the experience and expertise required to successfully guide you through your commercial real estate transaction in much the same way you want your doctor or surgeon to have the experience and expertise required to successfully get you through your surgery.
Experienced commercial real estate agents know to ‘expect the unexpected’. They can offer solutions to challenges that may come up during the transaction. And, they know the owners of many of the properties in the area, which gives them insight and experience as to which landlords are willing to negotiate and which ones tend to be difficult. Structuring leases or purchases can be complex and confusing; this is why experience is so important.

Experienced commercial real estate agents also have a large network of contacts and resources (both locally and nationally) that they can utilize to assist in the transaction. As the old saying goes, this isn’t their ‘first rodeo’.

When you work with an expert, you get expert results! And, in today’s economy no one has the time, energy or money to waste on anything less.
